Bribery

Bribery is an effective tool. Even for me. I have bribed myself with a few goals. If I keep up with them I get to go buy a new pair of shoes on April 20th. One of my goals is to blog once a week. We'll see if it happens. But, since I'm an adult, I can renegotiate my terms and I will probably buy myself new shoes whether or not I am successful :)

The weather has turned gorgeous. My boys are loving the dirt outside. I think they will be sad when it actually gets landscaped. Jack and Grandma Holly flew kites together. He loved it!

They also made chocolates. Jack was very good about not licking his fingers until they were finished.

Luke's favorite perch is the back of the couch. I can not keep him off of it. No matter what I try. I think he sees it as his throne.

He also feels it is his personal duty to destroy paper towel rolls. We have to keep them up really high.

We had a really fun Easter week! My friend Emily threw a fantastic hunt for the kids. She hid about a million eggs. The boys loved it. Luke caught on quickly watching the other kids. He walked as fast as his little legs would carry him from egg to egg.

Jack got way more than the allotted egg amount. He was quite pleased with himself.

Jack helped me make sugar cookies. I wish I were one of those fun moms that really let their kids get involved, but I am a control freak. I can't handle the cookies not being an even thickness or the dough getting smashed. Poor Jack. I finally had to give him a little bit of his own dough to cut shapes with. Once I did that, he left my space alone. I am going to have to loosen my control a little or he is going to be need a lot of therapy as an adult.

Easter morning was so fun! The boys had a ton of chocolate and we really regretted that during church when they were both a hyper mess.

Jack wanted to share his chocolate bunny with Luke. So sweet!

We should have taken our Easter picture before church. Before Jack and Luke got muddy and before I ripped my dress. So, you just get a regular family picture. Sigh. Next year.

Luke has decided that he likes to kiss. All the time. Everyone. Watch out if you get too close!

I too have a control issue in the kitchen. Basically, I don't want anyone in there but me. I always try to do some fun cooking with the kids, but it usually ends up with me getting mad and telling them to leave. ha!

You do need to loosen up, just a little bit. ;)

I like briberies! When I was a kid we actually called them bri-berries. hahaha. I crack myself up.

And you know what, we always end up shedding our clothes as soon as church is over so we never get that nice dress up picture.

Very cute pictures although I have never seen Jack's hair that long before. Jay must be really busy with his new job! :) Can't wait to see everyone and celebrate Doug's graduation. See you soon.
