Bayou Voodoo

Luke and I have acne. His is worse so I feel for him, but I am 28 and too old for this. I already went through puberty.

There was a lady that I went to massage school with. She was from Louisiana and had quite an interesting background. Anyway, I was complaining about a zit one day and she said, "Oh just wait until you have a baby! Then you will have the magic cure!". I asked her what she meant and she proceeded to tell me a home remedy for break outs from the bayou.

Are you ready for this??.....

"Take your baby's full pee diaper and wrap your face in it. That baby urine has serious power to get rid of acne!"

I want to know what sicko thought this up.

I still dry heave thinking about it. Thanks bayou voodoo, but I am probably going to stick with Proactiv.

Mother Appreciation Day

Jack just told me to go and get a job so that Jay could stay home with him. It's so nice to be appreciated.

At least Luke appreciates me....or at least my ability to lactate.

Luke's Blessing

Jay was able to bless Luke at church this past Sunday. The blessing was beautiful and Luke didn't make a peep. We were so grateful to have Scott and Hannah, and Scott and Jami travel in for it!

Luke is now 8 weeks old. Can you believe it?!?! He has a growing list of accomplishments...

1. He can wiggle
2. He can stare for a really long time without blinking
3. He can go cross eyed
4. He can fart louder than Jay
5. He can hold his head up
6. He can roll from his tummy to his back (He does it a lot, but I don't think he actually knows how because it scares the snot out of him every time he does it:)
7. Last but not least, he can spit up further than any baby I've ever seen.

I am such a proud mother :)

My sister-in-law Hannah made these little shoes and hat for Luke. Go visit her etsy site littlelizalynn.etsy.com Don't you love his little fat rolls on his legs?

Jack has made it 3 days in underwear without an accident!! Wahoo!! He finally decided that he wanted to pee in the potty. He will get up and say, "Be right back mom!" and head toward the bathroom. If I try to follow him he says, "Go away!". Apparently he just needed me to back off so he could do it himself. Yay Jack!
