Harley the Great

I got Harley for my 15th birthday and he turned out to be the best dog ever. He was the happiest dog and could make any day better. He was easy to train and loved everyone he met. He even loved the dog catcher and visited dog jail quite frequently :) Sadly, on Thursday, we found out he had lung cancer. I told him to lay off the cigarettes, but apparently he didn't listen :) So, after 11 and a half happy years we had to put him to sleep. How's this for a depressing post? Anyway, he had a happy little life. He did a great job being our dog.

This was his last walk this morning before we had to take him in. He loves his morning walks and this morning was no different!

Here he is with grandma.....although, she always said, "I am not that dogs grandmother! You didn't give birth to him!" Thank goodness :)

Harley loves kisses!

He was even running this morning! Must have known he'd be in dog heaven shortly :

This is my favorite :)

It's naked hot in Colorado!

It's just too stinkin' hot for clothes! Fortunately for those around us we live at my parents so we have to stay clothed. It has already been such a lovely summer and I must say I feel bad for my Utah friends. It's a lot hotter there! We have been having lots of fun in the sun! Jay finally learned to wakeboard on Saturday! Unfortunately I was.....of course....busy feeding Jack and wasn't on the boat to get pictures. Maybe next time.

Jack is a great alarm clock. He wakes me up every day at 6:30 when it is still cool enough outside for our morning walk. I love living in the country again! Too bad Jack can't stay awake long enough to enjoy the scenery :)

Here is Jack in the jog stroller....however we haven't made it to jogging yet...just fast walking :)

This is what it looks like on our walk. I love the trees!

Here is the view from our back yard. Jay is having a hard time living so far away from the city. I am loving it!

I am brainwashing Jack from an early age to be an Oklahoma fan. College football starts in one month! WAHOO!!!! (Thanks to Jami and Scott for the sweet onesie :)

Just our cute kid.

Back to the Promised Land

We made it! We have finally moved back to Colorado after two and a half years! We are so excited to be close to family (literally.... as we live in my parents basement) and to get settled in! The trip over was lovely. Jack only had one tiny meltdown and a blowout/spit-up where we both had to change outfits. Jay drove the trailer over with all of our stuff. Now that he is an experienced trailer-puller, he can buy me a horse :) Ha! Jay has been super busy with a landscaping job. I haven't seen much of him since we got here. He will be done with that this week and then he will start to build up his paint business. Once we get that in order we can look for a place of our own! I can't wait!

Jack is doing great and growing like crazy! He adjusted to the move quite well! He is loving living with his grandma. So, he should be a spoiled brat in no time :) I had my first paranoid mother moment and took Jack to the Dr. for funny colored poop (you gotta love blogs which include poop stories....it doesn't get better than this). Well, apparently he was fine, maybe just a little virus....but they weighed him while we were there and he was 10 and a half pounds! I had to put him into 3-6 month onesies last week. The kid is huge....and really cute.

Anyway, that's about it for us. We have some fun summer plans ahead of us so our posts should get a little more exciting :)

This is Jack's new Pterodactyl shirt. It actually won't fit for a while though. We thought it was fitting since he kind of looks like a Pterodactyl. Plus on the shirt it says "I have a long pointy head"....which is also fitting for Jack :)

This is proof that I'm not qualified to be a mother. While I was trying to take this picture, he rolled off the pillow I had him propped up on. He bumped his head on the floor and was thoroughly traumatized. What a baby :)

Here is Jack working on his muscles by doing push-ups.

This is Jack's blessing day....well actually we forgot to take a picture that day, so we took this after church yesterday. We figured it counts since he is wearing the same outfit. Plus, I get a little skinnier each week, so current pictures are always best.

This is our cute kid's smile. I have yet to get a really good picture of him smiling, so this will have to do for now. Just imagine how cute it really is! :)
