Not For the Faint of Uterus

Warning: These videos will make you want to have a baby...or another baby.

He is so sweet he almost defrosts my frozen uterus.

If I could guarantee that all my future children would be as sweet as Luke, I would be like the Old Woman who lived in a shoe. No joke.

He is just such a love. However, he is really getting tired of the camera. I can't believe he gave me the finger.

Bayou Voodoo

Luke and I have acne. His is worse so I feel for him, but I am 28 and too old for this. I already went through puberty.

There was a lady that I went to massage school with. She was from Louisiana and had quite an interesting background. Anyway, I was complaining about a zit one day and she said, "Oh just wait until you have a baby! Then you will have the magic cure!". I asked her what she meant and she proceeded to tell me a home remedy for break outs from the bayou.

Are you ready for this??.....

"Take your baby's full pee diaper and wrap your face in it. That baby urine has serious power to get rid of acne!"

I want to know what sicko thought this up.

I still dry heave thinking about it. Thanks bayou voodoo, but I am probably going to stick with Proactiv.

Mother Appreciation Day

Jack just told me to go and get a job so that Jay could stay home with him. It's so nice to be appreciated.

At least Luke appreciates me....or at least my ability to lactate.

Luke's Blessing

Jay was able to bless Luke at church this past Sunday. The blessing was beautiful and Luke didn't make a peep. We were so grateful to have Scott and Hannah, and Scott and Jami travel in for it!

Luke is now 8 weeks old. Can you believe it?!?! He has a growing list of accomplishments...

1. He can wiggle
2. He can stare for a really long time without blinking
3. He can go cross eyed
4. He can fart louder than Jay
5. He can hold his head up
6. He can roll from his tummy to his back (He does it a lot, but I don't think he actually knows how because it scares the snot out of him every time he does it:)
7. Last but not least, he can spit up further than any baby I've ever seen.

I am such a proud mother :)

My sister-in-law Hannah made these little shoes and hat for Luke. Go visit her etsy site littlelizalynn.etsy.com Don't you love his little fat rolls on his legs?

Jack has made it 3 days in underwear without an accident!! Wahoo!! He finally decided that he wanted to pee in the potty. He will get up and say, "Be right back mom!" and head toward the bathroom. If I try to follow him he says, "Go away!". Apparently he just needed me to back off so he could do it himself. Yay Jack!

Push Present

Babies are a gift, there is no doubt about that, but I still want a present for having them :) I got my Push Present for Luke last week! New running shoes!! I am so excited to hit the pavement again! I have been dying to get out there and run my jiggly bits away. Now, if only the weather here would cooperate. I miss those 60 degree January days in Colorado :(

I have decided to make our bread instead of buying it. It just tastes so much better and it really is cheaper. This decision has taken me about 5 years to make. Yes, I am that lazy and I really lack domestic skills. I hope with some practice that it won't take as long and my loaves will get prettier :) But, for me, this is a huge accomplishment. However, I made white bread and ate a loaf myself in less than 2 days. Oh my word was it good. So, I'm going to have to make wheat bread and put some flax or something in it to make it a little less appealing. Sigh.

Here is the sweetest baby ever to live. He is just so delicious.

He is very selective about when he smiles and I have yet to get it on camera. Here is a tease. His smile is so cute. It is going to break many hearts. So is that red hair. I LOVE it!

The armpit rolls and double chin are pretty cute, too. What a little tub.

This below picture is Jack at about the same age. Can you tell they are brothers or what? Ha!

Speaking of our first born, yes I still love him. He is getting to such a funny age and his personality is really blossoming. Every time I ask him to do something that he doesn't want to do (pick up toys, clear his plate, etc.) he says, "Shhhhh, mom!! Luke's sleeping!" to get me to stop talking. Nice.

Here is his very first white shirt and tie. He wanted to look like his daddy. What a handsome kid.

Jack still sleeps in his crib. He absolutely, positively refuses to sleep in his toddler bed. It terrifies him. So, he climbs in and out of his crib as he pleases. He keeps climbing into our bed in the middle of the night, which Jay and I do not want, so as any responsible parent would do, we bribe him. If he stays in his bed the whole night he gets a treat when he wakes up. Nerds are his treat of choice, which he must enjoy in a bowl.

Potty training is still not happening, but Jack loves to wear underwear. It makes him so happy to wear underwear that he can't contain his excitement. You would think he would want to wear them all the time, but no. Good luck, me.

My Buddy

Remember the My Buddy dolls? Well, Jack doesn't have the doll, but he does have Bayles. These two just love each other. They are inseparable, which is great for us parents because they just go and play and leave us alone :)

I am glad the holidays are over. I was so ready to get back to our regular, boring routine. However, I do miss the treats.

I am seriously outnumbered now, but I don't mind. Two boys is perfect. Jay can take them on the father-son camp-outs and I can go to the spa. Aren't they so cute?

Jack is still loving Luke. He always asks me where he is if he can't see him and then he will run over to him and say, "Oh, hi Lukey buddy!" He loves to help me burp Luke and has started carrying around a burp cloth and a stuffed animal to burp all the time.

Luke is doing great. He is such a sweet baby. He has had a little bit of reflux and has to be on some medicine. It doesn't seem to be doing much yet, but we shall see :)

I really would like to know how Jay and I got a redheaded baby :)

Just because baby butts are too cute not to share :)

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Mostly because it hit the 23rd and I wasn't still pregnant :) So happy for an early baby!

Nothing starts Christmas morning like a stocking (or mouth) full of chocolate.

I can't believe how trashed our house was after presents.

Luke slept through the whole thing. What an angel.

I'm not sure who had more fun building this. Jack was so glad to have his dad home for a few days.

Luke was able to play baby Jesus in the nativity at a friends house. We had a great time and he did a fabulous job. Jack was supposed to be a sheep, but backed out at the last minute. Apparently he won't be an entertainer.

We have been doing a lot of this.....

Jack is loving having a little buddy. However, he over estimates Luke's capabilities. He found out that Luke can not catch a football yet, or wrestle. If Luke makes it to his first birthday, I will consider his life a success.

So cute in their matching jammies. Thanks Mandi!

I realize now that it will be a rare occasion when both boys look decent in a picture. This is as good as it got. Close enough.

Isn't he the sweetest? I could just eat him up!
